algae going away?

I had a little bit of this brownish algae bloom in my tank which I blamed on the well water and a 250w MH... I have almost all the water back to RO/Dis water and the algae seems to be kind of falling away in paches on the glass... Is it slowly going away as the water quality is getting better?... I only have one snail... I will be getting a larger clean up crew slowly as the tank matures more.... I was thinking about a lawnmower blenny...

keep doing what you are doing with the water changes. good plan on letting your tank dictate the cleanup crew.

It sounds like diatoms, and yes, they do go away on their own after a while. Mine peeled off the rocks and glass, leaving my tank nice and clean. You might want to rinse out any mechanical filtration a little more often while it's clearing up.
