I have a question regarding the AquaPod 24g 150W HQI.

There is just over 22" of clearance in terms of height, and according to their website, the entire thing is 22" tall. This is a 150W HQI setup... would it be okay to have so little clearance between the bottom of the cabinet and the top of the lamp?

So basically:

1. Is there physically enough space (i.e., is the AquaPod 150W truly no more than 22"?

2. Is this a fire hazard, when placed this close?

I'm not too familiar with the setup of the aquapod, but if its telling you that the height is 22" I would expect that you would need at least 23" to run the MH to allow for proper air flow to keep it cool. And also if its going to be run in 22" how are you going to open the lid to do tank maintenance?

It doesnt sound like a good idea to me either. Youd need more room than that for more reasons than just fire protection. As far as a fire hazard, it really depends on how flamable the wood is. I wouldnt do it.
