I live in Florida so Reeftopia is nearby, but who has the best price for cleaning crews these days. I haven't had to order for years.

What about Tampa Bay Saltwater? I don't know about cheap, but it is another respected local resource.

Example:

Live Rock (lbs) 100 Live Sand (lbs) 50 Blue Leg Hermit Crabs 50 Astrea Snails 25 Tiger Tails Cucumbers 2 Serpent or Brittle Stars 1 Peppermint Shrimp 1 $ 597.00

I don't know what the cost would be after you negotiate out the cost of the LR/LS or if you even can. It would seem logical though, they probably have cleanup recharge kits that I didn't see in my 1 minute browse.

I'm looking for 100 blue legs, 100 astrea and 50 Nassarius. I'm looking at 100 bucks with free shipping

Or 120 for free shipping depending on which banner is correct on the site.

jjmg,

That seems like a really good deal....about half what most sites would charge. Reeftopia mentions free shipping over $100 all over their site.

Ordering 'a la carte' from TBS would be $300 + shipping just for the hermits & astreas...no disrespect meant to them, just reporting what I read on their web site.

Keep us posted if you decide to order from them...if they're good, I'll order from them as well.

Thx,
-Robert

I have ordered from both. TBS in 2003, and reeftopia two months ago. The TBS order was all bundled together with 150 lbs liverock so I ended up with 75 blue legs, 75 astreas, 4 cukes, some serpant starts. The reeftopia order was the reef #2 package I believe. Very nice mix IMO. Plus free shipping and 4 free peppermint shrimps. I would have to say that I like the reeftopia mix better than TBS (Sorry Richard!, loved your rock though).

etropicals (part of fosters & smith) offers packages with free shipping, and a la carte with free shipping over $60. That was a few months ago...but I'd be suprised if things changed much. F&S does a great job with livestock, and their customer service is second to none.
