Can I get a butterfly fish?

I have a yellow tang. Are butterfly fish okay with them?

I have a yellow tang with my cooperband. They are just fine together.

yellow tangs sometimes are not very accepting of other butterflies. I had a yellow tang that tore up my teardrop butterfly I added and had to split them up.

No guarantees but you can do a few things like move the rock and put it in later in the day to give it the night to settle.

I have a copperband with my yellow and sailfin tang, no problems. The copperband was added much later than either tang and the tangs never gave him a hard time.
