I've had this Aussie lord for several months now and was surprised to see how much it has morphed in color in that time. It was nice to begin with, hence the reason I got it. But boy it sure did color up really nicely since it got used to my tank and feeding. And I do feed heavily with my own mixed frozen food.

Anyone else find their Aussie lords coloring up better? I've seen quite a few people saying theirs actually lost the vibrant colors but not too many the other way around. Please share.

Here was the original piece when I first got it. Not bad.

Here is a frag of it that I took a pic of yesterday. I actually had to REVERSE Photoshop it to reduce some color b/c it would look unbelievable. I think the real thing looks better in person.

Thanks everyone. I have to agree that it is the most colorful Acan I have personally ever seen. I was actually a bit surprised when I moved it for the pix.

I live in SoCal so I have the luxury of shopping at Asian markets that sell a wide variety of fresh seafoods. When I make the food, I use most of the items listed here: smelts, oysters, clam meat, scallops, shrimps with shell on, squid, mysis, frozen brine shrimp, cyclopezee, nori, Reef Roids, Kent Phytoplex, Kent Chromaplex, and Seachem Reef Plus. Instead of using RODI, I just just the last 3 items to help with blending everything together. I may have left out a couple of things, but you get the idea.

Wow, that has morphed into a stunning color in your tank!

I just moved my aussie acans a week ago to the top of the tank on the rockwork. Hopefully some will color back up or change into something even better!
