I found out that the grid or screen in my ph's reduce flow by may be 50% or more.
I knockout the screen on the intake of the ph and use a larger screen.
How? I used epoxy to glue a slipxslip union onto the intake of the ph. I then just push pipe into the other end of the union. I use a cap on the other end of the pipe.
A series of slits were cut on the pipe so I have in effect a very much larger screen.
The increase in flow is quite significant with the larger screen, easily by 50%.
