Could someone please advise me, 24 Aquapod 150 HQI, stable perameters, GBTA

You know when a BTA expells its insides, and you see all of that kinda white stringy stuff, that is later put backinside

Well some of it looks to be in some of my bubble tip actual Tips, as inside the bubbles

What is this, should i be concerned, it is open, recieving adequate flow, and light, and ate a silverslide 2 days ago...

The other anmenoes in the tank are doing well...Please Help

Is this a newly acclimated BTA? Is it purging waste or is it's stomach being expelled? "Stable" parameters really don't tell us much of anything, numbers would be beneficial. A picture would also be very helpful.

I wouldn't be concerned. there was article posted up here some where about when BTAs become sexual the female actually takes in the male's sperm for a couple days then the female BTA releasing mini BTAs from the tips. I can't remember where I read that article tho.

really...thats a relief, today it doesn't have as many but its still there, it ate a silverslide yesterday, and is open. Thanks for the help. Is it because i have more than one anemone in the tank?

i think you would have noticed if the nems went sexual. It probably happened before it was in you posession.

I would say that it's certainly NOT wise to have multiple anemones in a 24, especially if they're not all BTAs.

i can't say about a 24, but that extra 5 gallon in a 29 must make a world of difference...........

If they are all bta's in the 24 it's fine. It also depends on behavior like bta's attach to the rocks and lta's/carpets attach in the sand usually (JetCat's obviously has a carpet attached the glass lol) so you can mix them depending on your rockwork as long as they don't touch each other and have a healthy environment were they don't move all the time.

JetCat- Cool carpet on the left and the rock anemone on the right. What are the two in the middle?

from left to right: H crispa and E quad. and they can touch, let me do a little more digging in old pics where the carpet used to climb down under the cap of the Seabe.............brb.

WOW That is awesome JetCat. I thought they would kill each other. The firefish doesn't get hurt? Amazing.

the firefish did fine, I'm sure he's just smart enough (and fast enough) to get in/out when tentacles are out of the way.
