Guys I am in love with the blue spotted jaw fish. The thing is I don't want to spend over $200 for a pair. What's kind of jaw fish is 2nd in line to this spieces? Also if I need to add a coaser substrate to mix on top of my sand what would you reccomend and where can I buy it?

there's a place about a mile from my house that has about 4 of them, i'm pretty sure they ship... they're only charging 119 a piece for them... Nice fish! Let me know if you need the contact info.

Unfortunately these fish have a prety poor track record in captivity. Kinda thhe reputation conspics have, they do great, eat like pigs, and one day the lights turn on, and theyre dead.

I've had one for about a year now. Other than having to fish him out of my overflow before I sealed it off it has done great. He has settled into a burrow in front of the tank so he can see everything going on around him both inside and outside the tank. Great personality.
