2x175w Reeflux 10K and 2x39w Geisemann Actinic+ for my 40 breeder. In the pic the Actinic + were not installed. It was 2 AquaBlue+. I swaped them out because it wasn't blue enough.

Wow! I'm definately going to go with the sealbeam for my next tank! It's even waterproof! Untill I can afford them, I will have to stick with this.

http://www.ejlin.com/albums/album35/tank_lights.sized.jpg

120w of Cree XR-E blue led.

12x 54w T5HO

4x 70w MH 20k.

The MH is my actinic supliment. The LED's are essentially useless, and not on in the picture. They make an OK, just relaxing and reading by the tank light, but when the T5's are on, you can't even see them when you click them on or off.

Also, the wires are all tucked in now, I took the pic when i was first wiring it all up.

If I find another couple grand laying around sometime, I'm going to replace all of that stuff with custom spotlighting mounted high above the tank so I dont have anything over the top of the water.

Here is mine. Aquactinics Constellation. I built the rail system. Makes it alot easier to do stuff in the tank.

Here is my other one. Its a Double bulb 130w satalite. I built the light on a swinging frame. The light swings up out of the way.

I thought I had a pic of the light swung out of the way but I don't. If anyone would like to see one I can get one.

Saltysteven, I guess there are only a few people with lights. That makes perfect sense, since so many people are still in the "dark" in regards to responsible reefkeeping... ;)

I've upgraded the metal halide fixtures and am now using a pair of LumenMax-2's with the Spectrum Specialists 20k 175w bulbs & ballasts. I'm also seriously considering adding 2 more MH fixtures, next the the 2 that are already in place.

my simple,cool,efficient light on a budget.4 54watt ho t5's
http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/117311light.jpg
2 uv10,000k and 2 uv super actinics $25 per bulb
http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/117311light2.jpg
as you can see,its air cooled with no fan needed,i left gaps between the bulbs and it stands off the tank enough for heat to drift away.wh7 ballast $35 is on top for the most air exposure,it does get hot.those are not water proof end caps $1.25 a cap,and i've had no problems.got the reflectors at a hydroponics shop cheap.

i'm keeping a very healthy tank from softies to sps

Ive since switched back to VHO, I like the penetration better with VHO, but lets not debate,,, thats a whole other thread!

I also changed the spring things to an electronic actuator. Its now on a switch in my stand.

heres a close up pic of the light rack. It's all aluminum i bought at home depot and it's riveted together. Lumernarcs just sit on the angle iron and can be slid side to side.

The tank was just up and running back in August with this setup and lights.
Just changed to 2x 250W ReefLux 20Ks from the 10K Ushios and there are also 2 96W actinic PCs. No new pics yet but I'll see what I can do...
