is there a differnce between blue and tuquoise cespitularia?
they say this is blue cespitularia

They are most likely different localities of the same thing. The only kind of Cespitularia I've heard of is Blue.

That is the same as blue xenia. Its said to turn blue when its under high spectrum lighting for a while. I think the difference is the way they took the pics. One with flash (sparkles) and one without the top.

common names have a good way of confusing thing's. Cespitularia is in the Xeniidae family, and your colony look's healthy and the same color as mine was when it 1st came in . I heard that Xenia's don't really react well to Mullet's but that might just be a rumor

I have had mine right under a 250 14k MH. In the month and a half that I have had it, it has went fro 1/2" to ~1 3/4" but it has not become any more blue.

Oh btw, the other pics that you showed were taken with a flashlight directed onto it causing light refraction of the sclerites. They would not look that blue in the pic without it. For any of you naysayers out there, don't jump down my throat. I'm just trying to share what I have seen.

I've heard this as well, however there are reports of aptaisia infestations being directly related to the presence mullets.
