magnetic MH ballast--ever cheap enough

Does electronic MH ballast save enough energy over a magnetic one that makes the latter an obsolete equipment if one is to buy now?

Some magnetic MH ballasts are much cheaper now. Some people really want to sell their magnetic ballast. Are they ever worth considering?

Everything you ever wanted to know. I think the upshot, and someone can certainly correct me if I am mistaken, is that e-ballasts run cooler and are less expensive to operate, but at the expense of par, depending on which bulbs/ballast combo. I have 3 x250 XM 10K's on my 210 and they are all run off PFO's. I considered changing as well, but decided against it for now. I don't think I could tell the difference just looking at them with the naked eye, but decided to defer to the above article and stick with this setup.
