Now that I have a deltec Ca rxt should I keep my Kalk rxt going? I've heard mixed review on whether I should keep using it or not. I typically don't have a problem with my pH being too low. Will my sps do better with a little kalk is the main question?

I was also running both. But have stopped with the Kalk. Just not needed on my tank. Acros grow just fine without the kalk. And not to mention I don't have to clean my Tunze or pumps as often. :)

Hmm that is a good point about not having to clean your pumps as often :) . One other thing is that I thought I read somewhere that kalk binds phosphate or something? I might take the kalk rxt out as space is at a premium underneath my tank :p .

The way I understand it, the kalk precipitates the phosphate in your replenishing water, which sits at the bottom of the reactor as sediment. That's a good thing. :)
