I recently came into possession of a male masked swallowtail angel, and have been told they are completely reef safe. Is this true? I have also heard that the bellus angel is reef safe, but have read accounts of them nibbling acans.

Has anyone had any experiences with this fish?

They like water to be on the cooler side....low 70's for them to do the best. That is the one thing i remember reading about htem. The males are beautiful but without a female, it will turn back in to a female just a little warning...

Genicanthus are regarded as reef safe. I have a pair of blackspot and have never had any issues with them. They are model citizens.
There is a good article on Genicanthus in a past reefkeping. The link is below.
