HI everyone. I'm in the process of purchasing new lights and came across this fixture: http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/store_pages/details/l-fl-hood2.php?product_ID=sl-t5nw4804

Does anyone have any experience with this? Are there individual reflectors? Is it just worth it to pay 60 dollars more and get the Tek 5 fixture?

Get the Tek, its way worth it for 60 bucks. If you have a canopy get the retros with the tek 2 reflectors, they're even brighter than the fixture.

I would get the Tek also. Heard the Tek uses the new Tek 2 reflectors now.

From what i know the new wave isn't using water proof anything and the reflectors may rust after time. If you want a great fixture use a aquacintics, or a icecap retro would be better. If you on a budget, spend teh extra few bux on teh tek. The tek is not the best but gets the job done.

perfect, that's all you need. if you want to play it safe for possible future growth, you can get the 6x54w and only use 4x54w and leave the other 2 off.
