Have a 2 month old 10 gallon, fully cycled using established tank water, sand and LR.

Having a bit of diatoms show up, brown stuff on sand, and on a few rocks, how long will it stay for.

Is it do to my tank being somewhat new?

Not currently testing for calcium/alk- must be high, have crazy coraline growth
SG .26

I will be testing for ca/alk, when i get some corals, performing weekly 20% water changes, and using Reef Crystals and RO/DI bottled water

Stock is 4 turbos and 1 False Perc

Most new tanks go through similar blooms. I'd ignore it for at least a few weeks.

get snails and have your water tested. diatoms just LOVE silicates in the water!try doing your water changes with deionized water

yep just sounds like a normal cycle, if it gets worse watch your feeding and adjust your lighting, might be too intense, possibly your flow in certain areas?
