What ever happened to them being toxic?

The toxins are usually only an issue if you have poor water flow, poor filtration, and are not running carbon/purigen/polyfilter.

Some sensitive SPS can be very touchy when placed in a primarily softie tank, but most LPS, etc should be just fine.

I echo that. Run carbon, have good filtration and flow. And place them far enough apart and you could have tons of LPS and softies. I have leathers, mushrooms, polyps, frogspawn, hammer, torch, candy cane. Everything is thriving.
