Hello,
I brought home some LR rubble from my LFS today and just noticed it has some questionable hitchhikers on it.

The one on the right looks most likely to be Aptasia to me, but you'll also notice a smaller blue piece just to the left on the other piece of LR. THis looks like "something" but I just hope it's not Aptasia.

ID asap would be greatly appreciated as I'd like to remove this rubble from the tank if it is indeed Aptasia.

seems like you already know the answer to this. Get some crazy glue (gel) and cover the whole aptasia with it. Works everytime.

Thanks all!!!
I've isolated the piece in a separate bucket.
When I have time I'll crazy glue over that little bugger.
I don't need to have this piece in my tank anytime soon, is it safer to let it sit in fresh water or something as a more permanent fix or just go with the glue?

And what about that other little bluer piece?

If you removed the frag then just chip off the aptesia then mb a 1 minimute fresh water then then add back to the tank. Prevent any dieoff unless the frag is small and unneeded then toss.

Whatever that other frag is, it's on another piece of rubble.
Ill chip off that piece tomorrow.

Again, I appreciate the fast advice here.

Thats a majano anemone it is bad and to kill it use joes juice. I had the same thing with a piece of LR I bought to and JJ killed it instantly !

Hi Luke, aka anti-Remora ;)
Are you speaking of the piece on the left by chance?
That's the one that I'm curious about, but the blue color makes me a little more easy that it's not Aptasia.

Its aptasia, take a look at these pics, you can see the difference between an aptasia and manajo, either way.....kill it ; )

Oh, i'm talkin about the first and third pic, i can't see anything on the second besides a blob and some sponge.

Yeah, the offending rubble is out of the tank. When I get home from work I'll just break off that chuck and toss it in the neighbors yard and put the rest in my tank.

The other "blob" looks like some sort of purple or blue zoa.

Well thanks all for the help here. In over 6 years of SW tanks this is my first encounter with this little bastage. Wanted to make sure it was what it is.
