Guys,

I am headed to Maui for my honeymoon next week(Monday) and I am wondering if anyone has recommendations for dive outfits/charters to use in Maui. I am going to be on the South Side of Maui and I have found a group named "Ed Robinson's Diving Adventures." Supposedly they have been around for 25 years or so, but I would also like recommendations of good charters you have used or ones to stay away from. Megan and I are already certified so that is not an issue.

Thanks,

Chris

Congratulations and what an awesome place to celebrate! I am also heading out to the Hawaiian Isles on Saturday. I have booked a snorkeling trip to Molokini Crater. It is supposedly one of the best snorkel/dive destinations off the coast of Maui. You will have to charter a boat trip in order to get there but I hear the snorkeling/diving is fantastic with super visiablity. I'm ready to see lots of tangs and hopefully a few morish idols too! ENJOY!

Ya, If i remember correctly, Molokini is a little island off of Maui that is entirely a nature preserve. I hear it has one of the best wall dive locations in the world.......
All I did there was snorkel...and it was fantastic everywhere I went. Have fun!

Molokini is nice, spend a little more and go to Lani. It is an Island off the coast. you can see it from the beach at Kaanapali. the boat ride was about 90 minutes. The diving was better than Molokini, and not nearly as crowded. Everyone heads to molokini because it is close, therefore less money.

When we went it was Whale season, Amazing creatures those Humpbacks!

We took Navatek II to Lani, it is a catamaran power boat. My wife gets sea sick easy, and this boat simply rocked. But that was nearly 10 years ago.

I just got back a few hours ago and I will post some pictures I took underwater with my digital camera with strobe. I have so great videos- turtles, eels, coral gardens and some cool pictures of fish, coral shots and everything else.
