so i bought a downdraft skimmer now what ?

Well i bought a downdraft skimmer used. the two rising tubes are at least 6ft tall and the bubble chamber is at least 4 ft tall. My questions are how do the air and water mix and would one pump be enough or should i go with two for over kill skimming ?

I saw one running with an iwaki 100 and it looked to be doing a great job. It was the same size as you describe.
