Would an aqua C ev 1000 work well with a 365 ray tank with 2 cortez rays.. Or should i go for the ev 2000

it should be enough skimming power, if not, you can always upgrade the pumps themselves. but for how high its rated, i think you should be ok. you should be pushing about 3 times the size of the tank through that each hour...so should work fine.

the real question is...is it only going to be 2 cortez rays, or is there going to be anything else in it?

most likely 2 cortez any more might be pushing swimming room another small ray might be added

groupers are nice addition to those sort of tank... you could add a grouper, and still be under the bioload w/ that skimmer.

this tank is to shallow for grouper i think im custom making it dimensions are , 6.5' x 5' x 1.5'

ya, a lil shallow, if it was 24 inches tall, id be perfect. but 18 is just a lil sort.

To be honest, I would go for the EV2000, just because of the fact that you might add more later and you'll have a lot of turnover, which is good for shark/ray tanks.
