best ati fixture for this

pls tell me your thoughts -
(tank on the right) 36 by 16 by 12 inches high
2 bulb not enough, 4 bulb too much
do these fixtures run 3 bulbs or do all four bulbs have to be installed?

Most dual bulb e-ballasts (OSRAM/Sylvania, Vossloh-Schwabe, Universal, Advance) can be wired to just run one bulb. It would require you opening up the fixture, and doing some slight rewiring, but it should be possible with any of the higher quality T5 fixtures out there (the Current USA and Coralife crappers dont use good ballasts like this)

The only fixture I know of that allows 3 bulbs to be run at a time is the Aquatinics TX5.

What fixtures are you using there though? Are those ones with individual parabolic reflectors, or just flat ones? If flat ones, you could get the output of 3 bulbs with one that has a parabolic reflector.
