i spray a little amout of windex on a paper towel WAY FAR away from the tank and clean it that way it its really bad. other times i just use a DRY bath towel and wipe it until it clears up, making sure to keep using a dry part of the towel.

I use a mixture of water and white vinegar and it works fine.

I use white vinegar..put some on a paper towel..clean the glass and then dry with a clean paper towel. It makes the glass streak free and you don't have to worry about ammonia. Just wash your hands really good afterward. 1. because vinegar doesn't smell good 2. vinegar can lower your PH if it comes in contact with your water.

Clean off the salt with water and paper towels before using window cleaner; providing it's a glass tank.

If your tank is glass. There is a product called Coralife glass cleaner/polisher. It claims to be 100 % safe. I spray it on a paper towel. It builde a glaze on the glass that resists fingerprints dust, and water spots.

i never use anything on my tanks
and i have to clean x3 - 125/150/30 gal tanks - just be sure to have a dry clean towel and keep wiping until the streaks are gone - then for some reason if there are still some streaks then try the vinegar and water -

I've never had to use anything but a dry sponge. The front has remained spotless.

Water and vinegar on a paPer towel every couple of weeks. Every couple of days I use a clean microfibre towel with nothing on it.
