I would like to set a MAX ON AND MAX OFF commands but according to the documentation you cannot have both, which I don't understand why that would be the case. Max ON says once the timer is on leave it on the xxx mins while MAX OFF says once it turns off leave it off for xxx mins. I don't understand why they would be exclusive of one another but it appears to be the case sonce once I added the 2 MAX xxx commands it appeared that neither worked.

I would just like to understand why.

You do not need the Max Change instructions, Once the chiller turns off at RT+0.1 it will not turn on until the temperature reaches RT+0.5.

Having said that I would increase the span of control to one degree F (RT+0.1 to RT +1.1) this will extend the time between ON/Of period reducing chiller worn out and reducing power consumption by reducing the number of start ups.
It will also prevent that potential noise signals on the temperature measurement (sometimes mag interference from lighting) trigers the on / off.

Only one state is supported as the internal data structures only support one.
