View Full Version : FrogSpawn coral has a big bubble growing out of it, can you tell me whats happening?

Any ideas what this might be? Its part of the coral, at least as far as i can tell.

appears to be the mouth protruding. I have seen this on mine at times and it usually returns to normal after a day or so. If it continues, make sure all your parameters (alk/cal/pH/NO3/PO4) are in check. Other than that, IDK

katpurdy hit the nail on the head. My hammer did this exact same thing when it split.

When it recedes look at the skeletal structure and you should start seeing dents where the new heads are forming.

Hey, while we are talking frog spawn here, I have a question. I actually got a decent frag of it the other day. Yes, I noticed it has a mouth. Now, does that mean I have to feed it something to make it healthy?

I know Cylania (sp?) like small dead fish as a great snack.

Is frog spawn similar?
