I need to add a some flow to my 20 gallon long. I have one coral in it as of now (colt coral) and need to get a powerhead of some sort asap. So is this thing any good?

Koralias are very good powerheads, but in a 20g long tank, i'd either go with one of those on each end, or just get a number 2...i'd rather have the 1's on each end.
They put out a really wide flow, so they wont seem strong at all which is why you'll need more than a 1 in a 20 long

I have one in my 28g bowfront, the flow is nice, I really like the magnet in addition to the suction cup for mounting.

I bought 2 kora 3s and put them on each side of my 90 gallon. They work great. And are cheap.

I have 2 #4s in my 100G and they work great. I have a single #1 in my 16G bowfront and it seems really weak, I would get a #2 if it were me.

Wow! I am at 95th in peoria. The guy at The Ocean Floor told me that. I was just going to get a Aqua Clear powerhead from Petco. I have a cheap one now that I used as a band aid because I needed one.

I'm not sure that just one will give you the flow that you are looking for but they are good powerheads and you can always add a second one if you need it.

I would advise anyone to spend a little extra and get the Tunze Nanos. I've bought two Koralia #2s and one Koralia #1. All lasted less than two months before they started leaking current into my tank and triping my GFCI. The #1 lasted less than a week.
Also, Tunze customer service is wonderful. I had a shaft break on one of my 6045s and they had a whole new motor to my doorstep in two day after a simple email. I didn't have to send them the broken pump, show a receipt, or anything.
As for Hydor's customer service? well.... it took five calls and 30 minutes on hold to get a hold of someone. I sent my defective pumps in, I'm still waiting on them to send replacements.
Good luck,

Is anyone else having this problem?

Nope...and I have a ground probe in the tank, so the GFCI would trip if there was stray voltage. I love mine! I have two koralia 1s

Maybe I just have bad luck, that's what I thought after the I went through the first two #2s so I bought a #1 for my frag tank. After a week, same deal. Luckly, I was home this time and I have my main pump by itself on a non-GFCI circuit just in case.
Most people have had better luck with the Koralias but this has not been my experience. I'm finished with Hydor.

so strange how things work out like that reeferhead, I have only been using them a few months without any problems, but i have a #1, 2 #2's and a nano on the way. Reading about the tunze nanos looked like that stupid shaft always broke.

I have 2 Tunze 6025's and a Hydor #3 in my 55 gallon. I use the Hydor for flow along the back of the reef and it seems to be doing just fine. The flow pattern seems a little calmer than the Tunze, but I will say those Tunze's kick butt. I have one Tunze 6025 in my 30 gallon and it's all the flow I need.
I do like the Hydor because the price is a little more reasonable, I even bought a #3 for my 40 gallon Tanganyikan tank. It was so nice to get rid of all those little powerheads and replace them with one.
I haven't had the Hydor long enough to make a fair judgement, but I haven't experienced any problems with them yet. I'm also one of the few people who seem to have not had any problems with their Tunze nano either. I will say that Tunze has AWESOME customer service. Roger is the best.
Whatever you choose, you will like the Hydor or the Tunze so much better than other powerheads. I am very pleased with both. Good luck!!!!

Here's the issue though, with the Tunze the problem is a broken shaft. Ok that sucks, you have to get it replaced, but Tunze will hook you up quick with practically no questions asked or hassles. With Hydor on the other hand, well... their issue is a little more serious. The Koralias can leak electrical current which trips your GFCI and leaves your tank with absolutely no power until you notice it. That's why I have my main pump on a separate non-GFCI circuit but this isn't always a practical option for everyone, particular those with smaller tanks. Or worse, if your tank isn't on a GFCI or the GFCI fails, the pump could electrocute you when you reach your hand in the tank. Also, in order to get a replacement you have to send in the old pump and receipt in and wait... and wait... and wait. When you have to wait that long for a return it means you have to buy a backup anyway, so now you have two dangerous pumps and spent just as much as you would have on a Tunze. Just my 2 cents.
