I noticed a few Astrina starfish in my aquarium. I have read somewhere that Astrina stars eat coraline. I wanted to know if that was true?

not that i am aware of or have seen in my tank....though if they do i don't notice it since the algae is grows rapidly.

mine are ugly and have irregular lengths in the arms similar to your pictured.

they do reproduce like crazy and would be a great snack for a harlequin shrimp!

Asterina have been known to munch on coraline. Usually not a big deal though.

Some asterinid species or individuals will eat certains corals. Most often, they're harmless, though.
