nano filtration

im planning on buying the sapphire skimmer for my jbj nano 24g cube. my question is in your opinions what is the best set up for filtration? skimmer in the middle, carbon and sponge in the first and just return in the last? i searched the forums but i couldnt find that much that helped.

It doesn't really matter where you run the skimmer. The skimmer will do its job as long as it can get the water from your tank. I wouldn't really run the sponge, though, unless you are really diligent about keeping it clean.
