Power Failure on AC3 never changes from none

I have an AC3 that is not hooked-up to a UPS or a battery backup. Yet, anytime we have a power failure or if I pull the plug it never registers any power failure. It always displays "none". And, the data log is lost each time.

Any ideas on what might be going on?

You need to have the backup power (Battery or plug) hooked up to something that will give enough power to register the power failure.

Seems kind of wierd, I know, but that is how it works.

You really need to have the second power supply on a battery back up for it to work. Otherwise a 9V battery will work for an hour or so.
