I have a coralife aqualight with actinic pc bulb at 65 watts and a 65 watt 10,000 k bulb.

Can I incease my light output for my corals by switching the actinic bulb out for a 50/50 bulb?
or another 10,000k bulb?

what use are the actinics?

thanks

yes, you can definitely increase output by changing to white bulbs. actinics are for color and make certain corals fluores or glow sorta like a black light. If you don't care then switch to a 6500k or 10000k bulb for more output

But remember the more lower K value the more yellow. A 6500K is really yellow looking.

a single 50/50 with a 10kk would look nice i am sure...you will still get a bit of colour popping but with lots more light

Ditch the Coralife's and switch over to the Current Sunpaq.
The difference was amazing after switching over from Coralife's 96w 10k & 460nm actinics over to Sunpaq's 96w 10K and 420/460nm series bulbs on our 125...
