WHATS THE MINIMUM WATTS I CAN HAVE IN A 65 GALLON TANK. IT WOULD ONLY HAVE TO KEEP THE TEMP FROM DROPPING A FEW DEGREES

Please, first... Keep the cap locks off. Next, I would go with two 200 or 250 watt heaters. Why two? In case one breaks or fails, you have another one that will continue to heat your tank.

Yes. The average rule is 3 watts per gallon.
