i saw a colony that looks just like the pictures of the purple people eaters, but has brown hands.

it had a purple face w/ a neon green mouth, just lik ethe pics, but like i said before, the hands/tentecles were brown.

ive never seen them in real life before..
i was wondering if these were them.

thanks :)

I have 4 different frags and all are purple disk, green slit mouth. NO circle around the mouth like zoos and green skirt.

For it to be a ppe it has to have the green skirt.
Sometimes under lower lighting conditions, the colors will fade, but you should still be able to see the green.

Probably a RPE or similar morph.

I'd say just a variation of rpe.

i read somewhere that PE zoos are really palythoas, not zoanthids.
Arent palys much bigger?

i have for sure the Green people eaters and these dont look anything like the GPE when they are closed. The GPE are much more robust and meattier looking when its closed. Is this an indicator as to what it is?

When closed, these look just like any zoo I have except some purple and the slits of neon green. I have never seen PPE or RPE is real life, only tons of pics, so its hard for me to ID what these are.

Thanks for the help everyone! :)

PE's are zoanthus gigantus, not palythoas.

Once again. Size doesn't matter... A bigger polyp doesn't make something a Palythoa sp. Most of what people show as Paly's (I'm assuming they mean Palythoa sp.) are Zoanthus sp... As I've made this soapbox stand soooooo many times in the past, I step down.
