Octopus200 needlewheel skimmer for sale

I am selling this octopus200 needlewheel skimmer, $170 obo. It works great and is modded. I am changing to a recirculating skimmer. Here are a few pictures I took and I will post up some skimmate pictures tomorrow.

before you sell...i was thinking...any chance you could make it a recirc skimmer. external pump. 2 bulkheads. and some plumbing? I've seen people do it with the ams skimmers but didn't know if you could do it with this one. good luck and bump for an awesome skimmer!

i think your safer just buying the recirc model. have seen many instances where people crack the housing trying to mod the skimmers into recircs.

Still a rook, what is a recirc skimmer? While im at it, what is a closed loop?

I would really consider recircing it, but I don't know how much of a price difference it is between what you're selling for and what the recirc one is.

I don't know the quality of acrylic that octopus uses, but it should be fine to drill and recirc, you just have to be careful and very slow while drilling.

I don't even want to risk it. I plan on buying an orca or new octopus recirc.
