I have a 180 gal reef tank and its been up for two years now.
In the past month my water has been getting cloudy on and off.
Its really irritating me, I miss my crystal clear water, please help!!

It seems that this happens when I add fresh water or on a water change, but im not positive. I have not had this problem before. I have asked all my local marine stores and they have not been able to help.
My water tests are not all exactly what they should be but not far off what they should be.
ammonia - 0
nitrate - 0
nitrite - 0
p.h. - 8.0
calcium - 380
KH - 13 dkh
salinity - 1.026
Is there another element that I should be testing that would cause my water to be hazy?

My livestock seems to be doing good, except for my pulsating Xina died off but I have other Xina that are growing and mulitplying.

I have never had this problem, can anyone help me please?

You will get better answers in the new to hobby forum.

But, off the top of my head it would seem that there is something with your water. Are you using tap or RO/DI water?

Sounds to me like a bacterial bloom?

Perhaps a UV sterilizer would keep things in check.

Thanks, I was wondering if it could be somthing like that.
Could it be a type of algea or an agea die-off.

UV sterilizer, cool, are there other options?

Thanks again for the reply.

sounds like a bacterial bloom as mentioned.

probably the water you're using might have extra nutrients feeding the bloom......once the bacteria dies off, then algea will grow feeding on all the dead bacteria.

my recomendations;
1)better water
2)UV sterilizer
3)more LR/LS/fuge

Thanks, will the bacterial bloom just pass or do I need to do somthing now for the safety of my livestock?

I pay 80 cents a gallon for my water I did not think it was poor water.

Thanks for your advice and I will deff take it. Thanks again.
