I want to build a holding tank with acrylic....Not sure if I should use either 1/2" or 3/4" acrylic?? The dimensions of the tank will be 48"Lx24"Hx36"W. What WeldOn solvent should I use as well? Thanks

If I remember correctly the hieght of the tank dictates the thickness of the acrylic. At 48 inches I think you're going to have to club up to 1" but I could be wrong. I've only got limited experience working with acrylic and havn't DIY'd a tank yet.

looks like the tank is only 24" high. I would say you need 1/2" acrylic

I was thinking I could get away with 1/2", but want to be extra careful, and no room for accidents, so was considering going with 3/4" acrylic......The tank will only be 24"H, and will be eurobraced along the top as well.......
