As the title suggests, I have some news regarding Marine Depot soon becoming the online retailer for select Elos products in the US. This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time and I have a lot of people to thank for making this happen. First and most obviously, are the customers who have supported us and asked for our brand online. Over the past few months I have gotten a lot of emails, calls and even a thread or two, asking about the possibility of elos online sales so perhaps this news doesn't come as much of a surprise. I can assure you this is a big step for our small company and it is something that Nick and I thought about carefully. For elos owners and people who have talked to me, I believe it is immediately evident how passionate we are about this brand and how important it is for us to provide not only a great product but also to provide an excellent buying experience and customer service. As we were going through our options on who could provide this type of service, I made a trip to Southern California to visit the Marine Depot facility to discuss this project. Needless to say, I was very impressed with their system and the people at Marine Depot. They sure are a heck of a lot more automated/organized than I even pretend to be and their place is slightly larger than our "massive elos usa warehouse" They immediately put my mind at ease with regards to them being able to handle this rather unique product and even agreed to some strict guidelines concerning our test kits, additives, etc. which I can get in to more detail at a later time.
I will add more news on this as we get ready to go live in the next month but I just wanted to let RC members in on this. Oh, and a big thanks to August at MD as he was one of those customers who may have mentioned a thing or two to some guys down there and I certainly appreciate it. Thanks and as usual, let me know if you have any other questions.

Super excited to hear the news, and for being a part of it as an Elos owner. Marine Depot has been my main vain to hobby equipment for years,... good partnership!

Nice. I've been really looking into getting some of the test kits as I've heard many good things. I pretty much order strictly frm marine depot so this is great news. Any word on how soon we can order from them?

awesome, I almost buy everything from marinedepot!!! regular shipping takes no more than 2 days to Northern California, and they always price match without question. Great customer support.

Jesse,
Great move! I see that you not only provide a very nice service support, but you are also a smart businesman. I´m sure you and Nicola must be very happy with this.
Congrats!

While I like MD for things I can't get at my LFS, I hope you do NOT let them lowball pricing and undercut the LFS that have supported ELOS since the beginning.. As long as you have a minimum pricing, I have no problem with MD seling Elos products, but if you are going to sell to them cheaper and they will be selling cheaper, shame on you. That's bad for business and another nail in the coffin of the LFS. Please say it aint so.

Trust me when I say Jesse has thought this through. I have some friends that own a LFS that have been selling Elos for about a year now. They too were concerned, but after talking to Jesse they are happy to be part of the Elos family still.

So wait, no more phone calls to Jesse on how to set up the Rea on a Saturday? Will MD have a hotline to the Elos shop?
I think its great. MD is the only place I order my dry supplies. Orders are here the next day or I can just go pick it up. Let us know when the Elos stuff hits the catalogue.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for the kind words. We're very excited about this line. We know that along with Jesse and Nick's help we can grow the line and spread the word about the quality product that Elos is.

Great news Jesse. I will be needing replacements for some test kits soon, and I don't think I will be able to get them locally in the near future (I think you already know about the situation in Austin).
Please post as soon as we can start ordering.

Bump, tried to get Elos tests at MD today, not listed. Any idea when they will be?
Had to get LaMotte in the meantime.

Good deal. Just started using the carbon and magnesium - great stuff. Will they carry those products? Ca Pur - Expert Line stuff also? It took me a while to get used to the KH test kit but I can't imagine ever going back .....

Thanks. Anything you could do would be appreciated, but I understand its limited.
The problem is, if I miss this window to change over to the new tank (week after Christmas), its going to be extremely hard then because Jan 2nd I'm starting a new position with a new company and will be working a lot of hours.
