I have had this tank up and running for about 8 months now and i am almost happy with the setup. I am starting this thread for a few reason's. first is to get some input and help on what i need to do with the tank next. and also to show what has worked and not worked for me.

SETUP

Tank
TruVu Acrylic 55g that was not reef ready. So i got some black acrylic and made an overflow. i drilled 2 one inch drains and tee'd them together with 1 1/4" pvc and made a durso standpipe.

Sump
I have 2 sumps one is an old wet/dry filter and the other is a 10g glass tank. at first i had just the old wet converted into a sump with new acrylic baffles and a skimmer section. the problem with that was the skimmer section was the last part of the sump and that is wear the return pump was plumed to. so their was a micro bubble and a evaporation prob.so the 2 sumps fix all my problems.

Skimmer
Euro-Reef RS-80. two little fishes reactor with 75g of phosban.

flow
hydro koralia 4 and 1 seio 820 and 1 seio 620.

lighting
I have one 250'w reeflux 12k on a M58 ballast. i had 2 but took one out.

Livestock
4" Naso tang,Six Line Wrasse, 2 Chromis, Green Mandarin, Algae Blenny, Yellow Watchman Goby, Maroon Clownfish, Peppermint Shrimp.

I just had to say how off all the colors are in the pics. the corals look 100 times better in person and the light is no wear near that dark blue. if any one wants to give me a few setting tips for a Nikon d70 i can take some better pics. thanks rob
