With just the volute and needlewheel, my pump only makes 20 scfh of air... 560lph. According to ER (this last summer when I ordered volute & needlewheel), that is all I should need to make my 1260/62 into their version. I can post pics if needed... but 900lph? Yeah, right. There is either something else being done to these pumps, or they arent pulling what they claim.
Im even using a face-mount 1" union and have bored out the outlet to remove the threads.

So the ER eheim 1262 is only good for 600 lph?

Mine pulls in 15 lpm. It dips around 13-14 and goes as high as 18 lpm on my dwyer.
Good luck.

Well, what did they do to your pump that is so special? According to the ER tech I talked to during this summer, all I needed to convert the 1262 to their needlewheel was the impeller and volute/venturi assembly... so I got that. And all I get is 20-22 scfh. Do they bore out the outlet of the pumps or contour the insides?

How is the pump mounted? Is it set in an rc style? Or is it set in an insump style?
I'm really not sure what they do. As far as I know, the pumps is stock. I know that with mine, mounted on my 24" skimmer in an rc configuration, the ball in my dwyer airflow meter stays between 13-14 and 17-18. I see if I can put together a video tonight.

I am getting those readings from just placing the pump in a bucket... no connections at all.
