i have decided on a 40g breeder(thanks to aquabucket, man its sweet)i have a 55 tall going now(fowler really,a few zoas that are doing good)but the depth of the tank kills me(24 deep).it has a 36 inch coralife pc fixture,192 watts of 10000k.my plan is to have that over a 40B.which is 4.8wpg.ill go one actinic(96w)and one 10k(96w).my focus will definantly be softies.does anyone see a problem with that lighting?thanks for the advice.

Honestly I would reconsider the PC lighting... it turns yellow quickly and doesn't look near as attractive as metal halides/t5's

I wish I didn't waste my money on a PC fixture and that is one of the major reasons I'm getting out of the hobby ($500 lighting upgrade)

That will be plenty sufficient for softies, but like David said, it isn't as good as T5/MH in any category. If you have the money, go ahead and upgrade. If not, yes, the PCs are plenty.
