hello,

I would like to place some kind of thin blue film on the back of my tank, and then use some LED lights behind some kind of diffuser to get the blue material to 'glow', creating the illusion of backlighting, or distant ocean. rock pillars in the tank at various depths should create the illusion that the tank is much deeper than 24". I may even cut out additional black shapes that resemble rock pillars, and place them directly on the wall ~3" behind the tank to make it look like distant forms.

I assume people have tried this kind of thing before? Can anybody recommend what kind of material to use?

I might be able to make cheap lightboxes using some dimmable LEDs placed in white paper bags to diffuse the light. If anybody has some cheap DIY solutions, please let me know!

thanks alot,
Ryan
