ballast question

I've got a couple Accustart ballasts that are rated to run 4 54watt T5's each. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could run 8 24watt T5's on each ballast? the wattage is almost the same.

That ballast is only designed for 4 lamps and will only light 4 or less lamps reliably. This ballast has an EOL (End Of Life) circuit. The ballast has to be connected to every lamp pin for it to operate correctly. This circuit checks the lamp cathodes (lamp ends) at start up. If one or more cathodes have failed the ballast will power down for safety.

It's a good T5HO spec ballast but it is only designed for 54W T5HO lamps.
