I just purchased a sheet . Whats best way to cut to fit around heaters pipes ect ? I was thinking of sheet rock knife but bet it wouls break more than cut.

I use side cut pliers or wire cutter. They are also called diagonals.

I cut mine with pliers also. Get the side cutter or wire cutter ones and you can get pretty close cuts without little tags sticking out.
