What makes my water look yellow. It seems like it changed all of a sudden. ( last 2 days or so) I swear I did not pee in tank to cycle it.:p

what do you have in your refugium. I've heard that when macro algae like caulerpa goes asexual it released (whatever) stuff that can turn your water yellowish.

that's about as dumb and answer as I can give, but, it might head you in the right direction.

good luck

Dissolved organics can make your water yellowish. How often are you doing water changes? Are you running carbon?

It's part of saltwater tanks.

Some water changes and activated carbon should fix the problem. Hard to say what caused it. Maybe a spawn or some algal output could be the issue.

Could it possibly be your lights. I know that all saltwater tanks have a light green spectrum to them.

it can be your light but you said it changed suddenly. if your are running carbon and you left it there for to long that might be the reason.
