Hey, I'm planning out my 65G tank and just made a list of fish I would like to put in it. The tank will be a mixed reef. I think the list needs some criticism or suggestions.

1 Yellow tang
2 Firefish
2 Black and white clowns
1 Green Mandarin (added at least 6 months later)
2 Banggai Cardinals
1 Lyretail Anthias (Male)

tank dimensions are 36x18x24

95-100lbs of LR, 3" DSB, Filstar XP2 filter, Deltec MC-500 skimmer

I think thats all the relative info

I think that is considered a little on the heavy side. But personally with your setup I think you would be fine.

I would agree that would be putting a lot into your system. I have a 65 gallon All-Glass (same dimensions as yours) and have limited myself to:

- 2 clowns
- 2 chromis
- 1 Wrasse
- 1 Dottyback

...they have all been together for over 6 months with no troubles.

Though I continue to be tempted to add additional livestock, I have chosen not to...as it will just create more problems and stress tank ecosystem.

Just my thoughts...

I would minus the tang and Mandarin. Unless the Mandarin will eat prepared food, and add a dwarf lion. JMO

I'd agree and add that the Anthia would be very difficult to keep in that volume. Especially in a new tank. Firefish, clowns, cardinals, all good to start.
