I turned off the unit and plugged this in and it did not work. Do I need to do something else? Please let me know what I have to do.

Hi

- is the backlight of ProfiLux View on or off?
- can you see "Error 1" in the View or is there a blank screen?
- is the View connected directly or is there an extension cord between ProfiLux and the cable which is shipped with the View?

Yes I am using an extension cord. No backlight or anything. I will check if that is the problem, but do you make an extension cord for this, if it is?

please try it without extension cord.

I hope the cable you used didn't swap some signals or the 12V-polarity - this could damage the device.

You can use this products:
VSL2.5 = 2.5m extension cord western to western
or
SV3 = 3m extension cord for the Sub-D (RS232)
