How much light

I have read and heard so many differenet things on lighting it's hard to know if you got it rigt or not.
I've got a 75 gal reef
1 250w 10000k MH and
2 110 vho actinic blues. Is this ok? Some say yes some say I need to add 2 110w vho 14000k?? or another mh
Tank does ok, other than a faded brain coral. How much light is optimum and what is over kill?

It all depends what you are keeping. Softies like mushrooms, xenia, etc will do fine. As far as sps and clams are concerned they need to be directly under the halide and the higher the better.
To be safe and if you are able to you can add another 250 halide then you shouldn't have problems keeping what you want.
