Rwinfrey,

That's one of the issues that is unresolved and quite frankly, delaying the release of the product. We are currently re-evaluating the whole RS series and we may go with a different pump all together. We do have a new rotor design for the GEN-X/ RESUN pumps we have been using that will quiet the pump substantially. As long as we can get the MFR to make sure the pumps are completely potted in the back and the SS thermal sensors are covered (so they don't magnetically attract metal ions from the water) we will likely use those pumps as they are very powerful.

Hugh,

If you are looking for a step up in performance from the RC250, you may consider the new 12" skimmer we will be releasing in a few weeks. It is 12" DIA X 22/24" tall with 2 X EHEIM 1262 Pumps. It will be rated conservatively at 400g (Heavy Load) - 800g (Light Load) capacity.

This skimmer sound to big for my 300g. I need something like a cs12-1 or cs12-2, got one of those in stock. Maybe I'll wait for the RC-350

To me it sounds like their new skimmer is the same as a cs 12-1. The eheim pumps are not as powerfull as the old dolphins or the GenX pumps. I would just hope they last longer.....

I would like to see a Dart powered ER skimmer

Here's a little update:

We are working on some prototypes of a 10" CSX/ RSX skimmer. We will likely use this new design for the production of the RSX350/450. Look HERE (http://euroreefinc.proboards74.com/index.cgi?board=wnerps&action=display&thread=1202242296) for some info on the new design. The RSX350 will likely have 2 x SP4 with the new Whisper Rotors (http://euroreefinc.proboards74.com/index.cgi?board=wnerps&action=display&thread=1202255839) on them as well as the bubble plate and diffusion transition.
