Does anyone use the 250 watt d/e Planet Elos 2 here?

If so, can you tell me how large the MH reflectors are? Also, I can't remember if it has 2 or 4 t-5's? Thanks.

I have this unit over my Crystal 120 XL. This hood has 4 x T5's and 2 DE 250x MH. If I were to do it over again I would have bought two more. No really! This hood is by far the best hood I have ever used. The reflectors are not like the massive single ended type, but this hood covers my 48 inch tank with no problem what so ever. My system has over 60 types of SPS in it and they are growing like weeds. It might be time already to get a new tank! :( I really don't know what kind of information you are looking for, but if it's a review you want, I give this hood a 9.5 out of 10. The only reason it gets a 9.5 is because it's not free. Feel free to PM if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the info. I also have the 120xl and was wondering how high you have the light above the water? Does the light spread cover the entire tank? Which bulbs are you running on it?

No worries! I have the light above the tank about 8 inches. I am using the Elos bulbs that it came with. So far so good! As for the coverage on the tank? There is not a spot on the tank that does not see light. If you have any other questions please feel free to let me know. Like I said before, If I could do it over again I would. Light Manufactures now are making hoods way to big and way to bulky. You don't need these monsters to get good results. This hood is light and attractive! Plus it works perfectly. Keep in mind, I did not buy the light because I have an Elos tank. I bought it because I own a few of the current top end lights and this one was better than any of them. I will not mention names...
