I red on the int. site who sell frags that you should acclimate new coral first, then dip it in the iodine treatment, then wash it in tank water and then you can put it into your tank. Anybody does iodine dip treatment? And how? This suppose to kill any hitchhikers on the coral. Thanks

Iodine dips are a good idea in my opinion. I've never used straight iodine, personally. I've been using Kent Tech D, and the instructions are right there on the label. It won't kill everything bad, but it does a great job on planaria (sp?) flatworms, and probably some other pests. It will not kill things like red bugs. I'm sure other people will be able to give you instructions for using something like Lugols, which is another popular iodine dip, though it isn't specifically for corals, so you won't find any instructions on the bottle.
