Why is monitoring calcium so expensive?
A huge selling point to me on the controllers/monitors would be this feature. Since they dont have it I really dont see them as worth the cost?
I've never seen a calcium monitor -- I've seen the pinpoint ones that require you to place the probe in a sample and wait a few, but do they allow you to continuously monitor like you can with pH, ORP, temp, ..?

I recently asked here about whether or not it was worth monitoring with my ACIII -- apparently it's only really necessary if your using ozone.

Monitoring calcium requires an ion-specific probe, which is new and expensive technology, at least by hobbyist standards.

I don't care so much about ca monitors because ca is fairly stable. What I would like to find is an alk monitor. That would be an electronic gizmo worth buying!
