My favourite SPS coral (some type of capricornis) fell because of a stupid hermit crab onto another branching SPS. It seems like the green capricornis got the worst of it and now has a 2cm and a 1cm radius hole on the surface. What is the best way for my favourite specimen to survive and recover??

i always cut that dead piece away, cause when algea grows on the dead flesh it can get into the coral and make it spread. I lost a nice frag due to that.

the 2 dead spot is like in the center of the coral. I would be left with pieces of the coral. That would work if it was on the edge. I dont want to lose this specimen. Any advice people??!!

it will heal with time; they are pretty resilient.

put super glue gel over the skeleton...or just leave it alone and let it grow back over the spot.

I would leave it alone unless it spreads.
